Nominations for 2023 Mr. KY Basketball will be accepted starting Friday, January 20th from all Kentucky head high school basketball coaches, select Kentucky sports media members and previous winners of Mr. Kentucky Basketball. All nominations must be submitted by 11:59 PM (EST) Friday, January 27th.
The final ballot listing the top nominees from each region (as determined by Mr. and Miss KY Basketball nominations and KABC Regional Player of the Year nominations) will be sent out on Friday, February 17, 2023. The final ballots must be submitted by 11:59 PM (EST) on Friday, February 24, 2023. The male and female with the most votes from the final ballot will be named Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball on Sunday, March 19th during the 12th Annual Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball Awards Ceremony. More information will be released soon about the upcoming event.
Any SENIOR Kentucky high school basketball player that is in good academic standing with their school and in good standing with the KHSAA can be nominated. Please nominate students that you think are the top three players in the state. You do not have to nominate them in any certain order, as these nominations are not weighted.
